You can buy pre-made guacamole, but like most dips, it comes in a plastic tub. Luckily, guacamole is really easy to make. The simplest way is to mash avocados with some salt. But I like it with some more add-ins. Here’s how I make it. It takes less than ten minutes and it’s delicious! These are the ingredients you need:
- 2 ripe avocados
- 1/2 cup minced red onion
- 1 minced serrano chile (you can use more than one, but I only used one because my little sister didn’t want the food to be too spicy)
- 2 tbsp chopped cilantro
- 1/2 cup diced ripe tomato
- 1 tbsp lemon or lime juice (I used lemon juice because I can get free lemons from my backyard tree)
- 1/2 tsp salt
- dash pepper
Mash the avocados. Add everything else. Simple, right?
