Farmer’s Market 11/27/11

I go to the Farmer’s Market every Sunday morning. Everything is local, and most of it is organic. It’s really delicious, high quality food as well. This is what I bought today:

  1. 1 dozen certified humane eggs
  2. 250 ml rosemary infused olive oil
  3. 2 squash
  4. 2 avocados
  5. 1 carton of raspberries (I returned the carton and put the raspberries in a Lunchbot)
  6. 2 bunches of carrots
  7. 1 head of lettuce
  8. some gala apples (these are delicious!)
  9. some beets
  10. a few tomatoes

Things are going out of season, so there isn’t as much stuff as there was a couple weeks ago. But there’s still great stuff. No garbage was produced except for the plastic seal on the olive oil. The egg carton I’ll return to the vendor next week. And when I use up the olive oil I’ll reuse that bottle too. If you haven’t shopped at your local farmer’s market before, give it a go! 🙂 It’s a little pricey, but it’s well worth it for what you get.
